Let’s talk about rosehip oil

Today I want to talk about my all time favorite facial oil, Rosehip Oil!

Rosehip Oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes that are predominately grown in Chile. It’s rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids which can help reduce dark spots, scarring, hyper pigmentation and fine lines. Rosehip oil is also a carrier oil which means that it can be applied directly to your skin.

This oil is best for people with normal to dry skin. If you have oily skin try applying a small amount to a test patch on your skin to make sure it wont clog pores or cause breakouts.

The Rosehip oil I’m currently using is by Rhada Beauty and is 100% organic and cold pressed. This amazing oil has been a staple in my skincare routine for over a year now and my skin has never looked better.

My Favorite uses for Rosehip Oil

  • Face Moisturizer: I love using Rosehip Oil as a facial moisturizer! I usually apply a light layer to my skin and then seal it in with a cream moisturizer. If you don’t have super dry skin like me, you can most likely skip the double moisturizing. Just take two to three drops of Rosehip Oil warm it up in your hands and gently pat into skin.

  • Scar Treatment: Rosehip oil can help speed up the healing process of scars, stretch marks, dark spots and hyper pigmentation. I have a bad habit of popping pimples which can leave behind acne scars and dark spots. I find that since using Rosehip Oil my dark spots and acne scars are healing faster than ever before.

  • Dry hair: Not only is Rosehip Oil great for your face but it’s great for your hair too! I’ve got thick, curly and coarse hair so I always need a little extra moisture. I’ll take a few drops in the palm of my hands and spread the oil throughout my hair focusing mostly on the ends.

Let me know if you’ve tried Rosehip Oil and if so how do you like to use it in your skincare or beauty routine? xoxo
